The Director of Operations oversees day-to-day operations across technology and automation solutions, leading planning, execution, process optimization, team management, resource allocation, compliance, and sustainable growth initiatives. Responsibilities Overseeing day-to-day operational activities across Floodgate Automation’s technology and automation solutions Le planning, execution, and optimization of operational processes to ensure efficient delivery of projects and services in multiple sectors, including industrial automation, smart infrastructure, and software integration Manage cross-functional teams, define and track performance metrics, and implement process improvements to support scalability and quality Aligning operations with strategic goals, overseeing resource allocation and budgeting, coordinating with partners and OEMs, and maintaining high standards of customer service and stakeholder communication Risk management, adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and continuous evaluation of operational systems to support innovation and sustainable growth Skills • Strong operations management skills, including process design, workflow optimization, and execution in technology or industrial environments • Advanced analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, performance measurement, and continuous improvement of operational systems • Proven team management experience, including leading remote and cross-functional teams, coaching, and resource planning • Budgeting and financial management abilities, including cost control, forecasting, and alignment of operational spend with strategic objectives • Customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work independently in a remote setting • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage • Experience in automation, industrial systems, or technology-driven environments, preferably within African or emerging markets • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) are beneficial Benefits Full-time employment Remote role Company Overview is a Nigerian technology company that is committed to creating an infrastructural backbone for the industrial, technological, and general socioeconomic revolution of Africa.
